Keeping your child's vaccine schedule on track

Childhood vaccines are one of the most effective ways to protect your child from serious, preventable diseases.

Here is how to keep your child's vaccine schedule on track:

1. Keep a Record Card

Always bring your child's immunization card to every clinic visit. If you lose it, our team can help you reconstruct the history, but it is much easier if you have the original.

2. Follow the Schedule

The Kenyan Ministry of Health provides a clear schedule starting from birth (BCG and OPV). Mark the dates on your calendar and set reminders on your phone.

3. Mild Side Effects are Normal

It is common for children to experience a mild fever or soreness at the injection site. This is a sign that the body is building immunity. If you are ever concerned, call us immediately.

4. Don't Panic if You Miss a Dose

If you fall behind, do not start over. Just bring your child in as soon as possible, and we will resume the schedule where it left off.
